Methodology & Objectives

Our primary goal is to provide a safe and nurturing enviroment for all our children. An atmosphere where each child is comfortable and happy at every stage of their development. To achieve this, we do not subscribe to any one pedagogical approach, but rather use multiple tools and wisdoms best suited to each circumstance and each individual. We are an actively bilingual school, we implement changes where necessary, and we rely on fundamental values of respect and learning.

With the creation of this space we aim to:
– Provide parents and children a nurturing environment in which to spend time together and play.
– Offer a flexible schedule. Difficult to find among existing schools and centers. This meets the demand of parents who work and want to contribute something more than good care for their children.
– Create a solid community, and grow together.

Although we use the attractive methodologies of Montessori, Steiner Waldorf, etc., whose centers have been operating worldwide for decades, we do not believe that any of these educational proposals fit perfectly to every child all the time. So we use these approches, materials, and methods, but incorporate new and beneficial methods where appropriate. In combination we stir the innate curiosity of children.

Our methodology is active-playful-creative. This is the concept of interactive learning, where children learn through play and toys, intended to encourage creative thinking, promoting processes of discovery, experimentation, imagination.

Structured play gives our children the time and space where they can develope their learning skills. We primarily use music and hands-on playing.

Hands-on teaching is the best way for our children to learn.

Just as important is the oversight. Our experienced staff allow the discovery by play while teaching the boundries that all situations have. Our main teaching tools are:

Playing is a fully functional biological mechanism; It allows the child to experiment with his body (sensations, coordination, physical limits) and the objects around them (textures, weights, sizes, smells, tastes, temperature, resistance). Thanks to playing, every human being assimilates the outside world while accommodating the inner world.

A natural environment is the healthiest we can offer our children. Our project has a large gardens, where we can provide space for games, areas for gardening & various environmental projects, a space for growing an orchard, and all the gardens for the study of plants, animals, and crops.

We use our orchard as a teaching tool and as a practical model of relations between human beings and nature. A way to live with and experience nature. To feel close to nature, learn to value and respect, understand and experience, weather at home or at school. To encourage a healthy understanding, healthy eating habits, and ahealthy outdoor lifestyles – all through creative development!

Music has a power that goes beyond words. The pleasure of sharing music creates connections between people. The sounds and rhythms around a child fills their world with sensations and feelings. Music also offers a pleasant and rewarding learning experience and feeds the imagination and creativity of children.

Music is everywhere: from clapping of hands, to the babbling of a baby, to the sound of wind through trees, to the raindrops falling on a roof, and of course the songs, melodies, and rhymes we learn every day. They all add to our expereinces and help us grow. No special lessons, or sophisticated instruments, are required to enjoy music, only a desire to participate.
